Some traditional medicine that cure stomach ulcers are mixed with hot pepper. so I am convinced that pepper can hurt your stomach but at the same time heal wounds.

My dad is 89 years old and he is in very good health and contributes it all to cayenne pepper. I have GERD and he said that the cayenne pepper would have the answer. I tried it and it stayed down about 3-5 mins. So if it would work I did it wrong. I will appreciate any help I can get. I have just had the ablation procedure done for the Barretts Esophagus condition. Please let me know if you have any information that might help. Thanks. Cathy
