If you have a Uti should you drink a lot of water?

Yes, if you have a urinary tract infection,!drink plenty of water to dilute your urine and help flush out bacteria! Avoid coffee, alcohol, and soft drinks containing citrus juices and caffeine until your infection has cleared! Any Suggestions here?

    I am almost sure you have kidney stones! You can go for an Ultrasound examination of the kidneys which is much less expensive than a CT scan! I dont think you had an infection of the kidneys in the first place! Lack of fever, No pain on micturation all are against an infection! I think you have to get an Ultrasound done and if they find a stone in the ureter causing a block and your kidney showing hydronephrosis you should have some treatment to remove the stone! Either manual removal or lithotrypsy! You may lose the function in one of the kidneys if it is really causing a block in the ureter! Go back to ER!
