    You are performing a dialysis where there are three solutes A, B, and C. Solutes A and B are small enough to pass through the semi-permeable membrane, but C is not. You only want to remove A from the solution, how would you prevent B from being lost as well?

    Water enters through a semi-permeable membrane due to osmosis, and the current membrane model is the “fluid mosaic” model. It says there are hydrophilic ends facing the external environemtna and the cytoplasm, and hydrophobic tails in between. How does water enter the membrane?

    i have cellulose tubing filled with glucose siting in a glass of water the glucose diffuses out of the tubing through the semi permeable membrane but will the water also move into the tubing? How is this known?
