What is the half life of Xanax?

    oh dear! let me explain as youre not understanding this right!!!!at least i dont think you are!lets say you take 0!5 mg of xanax (assuming the half life is 10 hours) then in 10 hours youll have 0!25 mg (half) of the dose in your blood! in another 10 hours, youll have half of the half, or 0!125 mg! in another 10 hours, youll have 0!0625 mg! and so on! hope that helps!

    While the half-life is stated as above, I think the second respondent is referring to the amount of time in which alprazolam can still be detected in the body.
