Can sprite cause kidney stones?

Diet versions of citrus drinks such as Sprite may reduce risk of kidney stones! A kidney stone occurs when urine becomes so concentrated that minerals precipitate out of solution and come together to form a mass in the kidney or the ureter! Any Suggestions here?

    I had 2 kidney stones in the last 3 years. The last one I had my physician advised me to drink plenty of Sprite which contains Citric Acid because it breaks down the stone and prevents new ones from forming.
