i make jewelry and am curious to know how much the public knows about gems, specifically zircon. it’s a natural valuable gem and not synthetic. i’d like to know how many people know the difference because if the majority do not know zircon is a natural gem i will offer less jewelry with zircon.

not per carat but as a whole, the hope diamond is valued aprx. 200-350 million does thats make it the most valuable gem in the world or is there another monster i havent heard of worth more. i know the most paid per carat belongs to a ruby, but that stone was no where near the 100 million mark.

I’ll be taking many thousand of pounds worth of gems to get made into jewellery. So what if something goes wrong, like I get mugged by a gibbon, how should I protect myself (not against the gibbon).
