I have planted basil in my garden so i have it fresh everyday! You can cut off the stems and place the leaves in a ziplock bag and freeze them. Use them when needed.

    I buy fresh bAsil for recipes. It comes packaged on Styrofoam tray so i have to buy more than i need usually. And it spoils quickly. so i have to make two basil dishes back to back has been my solution. Is there a better way to preserve it?

    I find that basil is one of the most ” high maintance” herbs. Once I buy it home, I have to use it all at the same days, or it will turn bad next day. Is it wrong to keep the basil in the fridge? How shoud it be kept so that it can last longer? Thanks.

    Every year we plant fresh herbs(rosemary, thyme, basil, etc.), but come winter time, they allways die, bummer huh. Even if I keep them in pots. I just don`t do well with them inside.

    If I want to use freshly picked ones over the course of a week, how do I keep them fresh.
    Some ways I thought of involve putting them in closed glass jars, in the fridge, just plainly in the pantry…

    You know, the fresh veggie section at the store, you buy the cilantro, green onions, lettuce, etc, put it in a plastic baggie and then what? My cilantros get slimmy fast…Any good way to keep them in the fridge? Thanx!
