We are soon to begin work on an large extension and the garden we have inherited is nice but it doesnt look as though it has been looked after that well. I am thinking of reseeding and could do with some advice or would you wait until the building work is done and possibly even lay a new lawn?

I am wondering how to distinguish “quality” grass seed from grass seed sold at big box stores. I live in Colorado Springs (Zone 5-6) and I am looking to conserve water so it would have to also be drought tolerant. Are there particular brands that are better than others? Is so, which ones?

I’ve seen one that’s kinda like this:
    Feb 15-10-5
    June 30-15-7
    Late Sept 15-5-10
    Dec pre emergent

Something like that is what I’m looking for. I know those numbers above are NOT correct.

What forms do crabgrass killer come in? I used one in a pump spray bottle. I have so much crabgrass it was almost not effective. Do any crabgrass killers come in a fertilizer form I can put down with a spreader?
