    I got my car door open then morning (I live in cold MI) but the lock is stuck in the wrong postion to close my door, and usually I can force it down but cant today it’s really stuck…any suggestions?

    I have a Chevy Cavalier, only two doors, and live where the weather is really cold, so my car doors frequently freeze overnight and I can’t open either door! What I have been doing is pouring luke warm water around the rims of the doors and that does the trick, but is there another way?

    I know how to get the doors open but would like to stop the problem completely. I was thinking about using WD40 on the seal but my mechanic thinks this will eventually break the rubber down. Thanks for any tips!

    My car does this repeatedly in the winter months and absolutely will not latch until the car has completely warmed up, usually an hour or so. I’m tired of driving and holding the doors shut.
