How long after you get the virus of a cold sore does it appear on the lip?

About 6 to 48 hours before a recurrent cold sore becomes visible you may feel tingling, burning, numbness, or pain on the lip! Any Suggestions here?

    HSV1 is the virus that causes cold sores, its very common to have and nothing to get disgusted over! Dont let having herpes define who you are, youre still the same person on the inside! Break outs can take any where from 2 days to 4 weeks to show up! If your partner had cold sores when she gave you oral sex then she could have passed cold sores to your genitals! If there wasnt any signs of a break out then it may not be herpes! The blood test only tells you if you have herpes, not where to expect a break out! HS1 can affect both the mouth and or genitals! The pimples you had around you mouth could have been cold sores, if they are then you could have ha them long before you had oral sex! Cold sores are rarely passed to the mouth from giving oral sex! They are more often passed during child hood by being innocently kissed! By the way not every one gets huge sores with all of the classic symptoms! Some people get mild break outs that look like pimples! 1! It is possible for any type of herpes to lie dormant for a long period of time but its not common!
