Charles R. Keeran invited the mechanical pencil, back in 1913. Keeran was born on April 16th, 1883, in Bloomington, Illinois. He died on June 8th, 1948.

    Seriously, why?

    Pencils are better in pretty much every aspect, especially if they are mechanical. Yet we are expected to use pens for formal things.

    Any particular reason?

    I’m just curious, and Google isn’t giving me answers.

    americans invented anti gravity pen but russians used pencils in space..if i ask anyone whats the problem with pencil they say the sharp objects will goto someones eye..So why not use a sponge cap on it?
