Im pretty certain its something called sciatica! I have been suffering with it on and off since I was about 16 weeks pregnant (Im 30 weeks now)! It caused by the baby putting pressure on your sciatic nerve and can feel like a stiffness or a shooting pain in your lower back, buttocks and leg, normally down one side! i wasnt sure what it was either so I asked my midwife and she explained it to me! She did say that unfortunately, it would get worse as my pregnancy progresses and the baby gets heavier! I find that sometimes I have it and other times I dont – I think it depends on where the baby is positioned! I also find it is much worse after I have done something physically active such as clean the house or walk around the shops!
