Why is it bad to sleep on your stomach?

There doesn’t appear to be any medical material on why it would be bad to sleep on your stomach, in general! ! Any Suggestions here?

    There is no support for your spine! It is just as bad to sleep on your back because then there is too much weight on your spine, especially if you are pregnant! The best position to sleep in is on your side! Use one of those leg pillows to keep your spine aligned! Take care!
